How to fix a Drill Stand

I recently broke my drill stand, so i had to fix it using very basic tools and materials - materials were a 2 foot peice of 2 x 4 ,some bolts and screws and a aluminium plate.

Tools used were a - Drill, vice, screw driver,and a few other things.
