the reason why they are called brass knuckles is because they are typically made of brass

brass is pretty heavy compared to aluminium which is very light
which means a fist with brass knuckles travelling at the same speed as a fist with aluminium knuckles will have more momentum and therefore more impact
im just saying i'd want BRASS knuckles

ReplyDeleteBut trust me, I know the difference between brass and aluminium knuckles, I have over 180 in my collection, made from many variations of materials, also its not all about weight although it helps, its more the fact that nothing is hitting your knuckles so you can strike harder and more often with now pain
You will find nowadays that the term "Brass Knuckles" covers all types of Knuckle duster, very few commercial versions are made of brass now, most are steel, or aluminium and other materials, yet they can all be called "Brass Knuckles"
