Balisong / Balisong Duster / Knuckle Duster |
Features a "Skull Crusher" spike when closed |
Double Edged Dagger Blade |
Two Finger Balisong Brass Knuckles (Butterfly Knife knuckle duster) - My first ever Balisong Brass Knuckles, made to be held so that the middle and ring fingers are in the finger holes, and the two other fingers are supported by the outer grooves, opens like a traditional balisong, but due to the knuckle duster can't really be "flipped".
Made from Aluminium and Steel with various bolts, screws and washers.
The knuckle duster itself features no spikes instead has flat striking surfaces, but it does have a skull crusher spike when closed, and dagger blade when open, this would give the wielder several options for non-lethal, and potentially lethal combat.
The size is suited to Medium to large hands/fingers, and are not really suited to small or slim fingers.
Features Oval style finger holes and a curved palm rest,
Weight is pretty heavy due to the thickness and amount of material used.
Features No makers marks or date (as of making this entry, Makers mark may be added later)
Overall a great new piece for my collection, they are reasonably comfortable, but not as comfortable a some traditional designs, would be safe to use though, I hope to get a thinner, four finger version very soon, so look out for that in a future blog entry, certainly very cool and I am very happy to have this one as they are very rare and unusual.
Dimensions - 115mm wide overall, 72mm high, 8mm thick - Knuckle Duster only
Finger holes are 22mm wide and 30mm high approx.
Blade is 60mm long, 27mm wide, 5mm thick.
Overall thickness 32mm.
Overall length when open 152mm.

ReplyDeleteAs for the comfort factor, have you considered creating a mold of your hand clenching the perfect/ideal shape of knucks (using a malleable putty) and then using the result to create a template for all future products?
